  • The counseling rules require no continuing education hours for renewal; the 3 hours are the department-wide implicit bias training, 1 hour for each year of the 3-year license.
  • The 3 hours may be taken in a single course; they need not be spread one per year.
  • Keep the training records for 6 years.
  • A bill introduced in 2025 (House Bill 4655) would end the implicit bias requirement; until it becomes law, the rule applies.
